Professional Headshots in Medellín - The Complete 2026 Guide
I’ve shot headshots for over 10 years, including for companies like Google, JP Morgan Chase, and the American Red Cross. To learn more about me, please click here.

Who actually needs a professional headshot
More people than you’d think. If you have a LinkedIn profile, you need one. Recruiters look at your face before they read a single word, and a real headshot beats a cropped party photo or an empty gray silhouette every time.
You need one if your company has a team page, if you send out a CV, or if your face is part of the sale - lawyers, doctors, agents, consultants, coaches, founders raising money, speakers, authors. And plenty of people just want a decent photo of themselves that isn’t ten years old.
Simple test: if a stranger is going to decide something about you based on your photo, make it a good one.
Why a pro beats a phone selfie
Phone cameras are good now, I know. But a headshot isn’t about the camera. It’s about light, expression, and knowing how to make someone look like the best version of themselves.
A selfie is shot too close, so your nose looks big and your face looks off. A cheap document photo - the visa or cédula kind - is lit flat and makes you look like a suspect. Neither one says “hire me.”
What you’re paying me for is the stuff you can’t see: soft light, the right lens and distance so your face stays in proportion, direction that gets a real expression instead of a stiff grin, and retouching that cleans things up without turning you into a wax figure. It’s the difference between looking like yourself on a good day and looking like you’re renewing your license.
What to expect in a session
It’s more relaxed than most people fear. Nobody’s a natural in front of a camera, and my whole job is to make that not matter. We talk, I show you the back of the camera as we go, and we fix things together. Most people loosen up in a few minutes.
I direct you the whole time - chin, shoulders, hands, where to look. You don’t need to know how to pose. That’s my job. At the end you’ll have a set of frames to pick from, and I’ll help you choose the strongest ones.
What to wear
Keep it simple. Solid colors beat busy patterns - small stripes and checks can do weird flickering things on camera. Blues, grays, and muted tones almost always work.
Bring a couple of options, including a layer like a blazer or jacket - it reads as polished and gives us variety. Skip the neon, the big logos, and anything you’ll spend the whole session tugging at. A little makeup goes a long way; you want to look like you. If your glasses throw a strong glare, bring a spare frame without lenses if you’ve got one. When in doubt, dress one notch above the job you want.
Studio vs. on-location
I shoot both, and the right call depends on what the photo is for.
My studio is in Laureles. It’s the fast, clean option - controlled light, a simple background, no surprises. Ideal for classic LinkedIn and corporate headshots.
On-location means I come to you - your office, a spot in El Poblado, Envigado, wherever fits. Sometimes that’s because you want your surroundings in the shot: a founder in their own space, a portrait with a bit more story to it.
Just as often it’s about time. Plenty of people want a plain, clean headshot but don’t want to spend half a day getting to my studio and back. So I come to them. That’s especially handy for teams - I set up once and photograph the whole office in one go.

The sessions
- Studio Headshot. A quick 45-minute session, one fully retouched image. The standard headshot for LinkedIn, company pages, and CVs.
- Corporate. Your team, on-site or in the studio, one retouched image each.
- Super Session. Same idea for a bigger group.
Studio sessions are in Laureles, and I’ll travel for on-location shoots around the city. You’ll see the full list and current details when you book.
Ready when you are
A good headshot is one of the cheapest, highest-return things a professional can do. It works for you every day, on every profile, in every inbox, long after the session’s over.
When you’re ready, book your session here. Tell me what it’s for and I’ll point you to the right one.
